This is one of those policies that does what it says on the tin! New tutors will have a two(2) - week grace period upon joining the platform, which will commence immediately after their first lesson. Any Strikes you gain during this period will be wiped at the end of that period, and you’ll be free to get started as a tutor with a totally clean slate.
Note that we can still deactivate accounts during this period, if necessary, but we’ll always give you the benefit of the doubt!
We often invite our oldest tutors to lead the webinars you’ll be able to attend here with us! This informal, guided New Tutor Webinars will be highly interactive and is designed to provide you all with invaluable advice on scoring high ratings, as well as a space to ask those more practical questions about tutoring. It’ll also be a great opportunity for you to meet me and other fellow new tutors on the platform! Additionally, if we notice you are struggling with ratings during this period, a member of our Tutor Team will reach out to you to offer some guidance and support.
