We know that the gap between a 4 and a 5 is perhaps the most difficult one, especially for our tutors!
We ask students to view a rating of 5 as ""great"" and a rating of 4 as ""fine"". This means that students often didn't have any specific issues with a lesson that they rated 4; instead, they felt perhaps a little underwhelmed or simply weren't wowed by the lesson.
Of course, as with any rating system, students may have their own subjective interpretations of these ratings. We recommend taking the time to check in with your student at multiple points during the lesson to ensure you have a clear sense of their expectations and goals!
